Sequence Mutator

Apply point substitutions to a protein sequence and get the wild type plus one sequence per variant. Write each change as the residue you expect, its position, and the replacement — T315I — and join several with + to combine them in one variant. Each expected residue is checked against the sequence at its position, so a numbering offset fails with the residue actually found instead of quietly mutating the wrong site.

Examples

Protein sequence

Paste one protein sequence as one-letter codes, or one FASTA record. At most 5,000 residues. Spacing and line breaks are ignored, and a FASTA header is read but not kept.

Variants

One variant per line, written as the residue you expect, its position, and the residue to put there — T315I. Join substitutions with + to combine them in a single variant (T315I+E255K). At most 50 variants. Each expected residue is checked against the sequence, so a numbering mismatch is caught before the job runs.

The number of the first residue in the sequence above. Set it so positions match the numbering your variants use.
